Just 12 miles West of Chicago’s city center, The Drury Lane Productions is one of Chicago’s most respected producers of musical theatre. For over 60 years, Drury Lane has been working in and around Chicago developing relationships with talent, designers, theatrical unions, writers and creative teams which enables them to develop and attract Chicago’s top entertainment professionals.
In 2007, Kyle and Drew DeSantis took over from their grandfather and founder of the company, Anthony DeSantis. In the past eight years, they have revitalized Drury Lane bringing new vision to classic musicals as well as fostering the development of new works, most notably with this summer’s pre-Broadway run of the musical adaptation of the film BEACHES.
As a for-profit venture without outside investors, bankers, or sponsors, Drury Lane Productions has the freedom to create seasons solely with the ticket buyer in mind. Drury Lane is free to create its rehearsal, tech, preview, and performance schedules to fit each production’s specific needs. Drury Lane Productions is free to adjust budgets and scheduling as the season unfolds, enabling Drury Lane Productions to consistently develop and present the best possible productions for their audiences and collaborators.
Drury Lane has 25,000 annual subscribers in a five-show season, with 105,000 single tickets and 43,000 group tickets sold.
Schirmer Theatricals is a new division of Music Sales International, dedicated to the development of new works for the stage, offering new opportunities to their clients across a wide spectrum of disciplines. They are currently in active development on a stage adaptation of the Academy Award winning film, THE RED VIOLIN.
